Welcome to Midwest Hebrew Ministries!

Midwest Hebrew Ministries is an independent ministry which was developed to reach our Jewish friends with the good news that Yeshua is the long –awaited Messiah. The ministry was founded in 1939 by Rev. V.L. Peterson, Mrs. Julia Solverude – Knutson and a board of directors with the goal of sharing the message of Yeshua with the Jewish people. Our goal is to not only share this message with the Jewish people, but to also equip believers to witness to their Jewish friends, co-workers, relations and contacts. Our major emphasis is placed upon proclaiming the need for personal salvation, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. (Romans 1:16)  The Gentile church, for most part, has become complacent in the call to evangelize the lost, especially the Jewish people. Our goal is to share literature with Jewish people, equipping churches and concerned Christians, so that lost humanity might come to experience the abundant life found in Jesus.

We hold an annual Bible Prophecy Conference in the fall and a ministry banquet in the spring. These two events provide us an opportunity to introduce people to our ministry. We also publish a quarterly publication, The Herald of Zion, which contains ministry information, witnessing tips, testimonies and Bible prophecy articles..  We are planning to begin partnering with local Jewish evangelism ministries to assist in the dissimilation of the Gospel in the near future. Pulpit supply and Passover Seders are also offered to local churches and groups.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the Gospel righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.”
